Service Description
In this foundational lesson, you'll master the essential elements of the correct boxing stance and guard position. A solid stance is crucial for maintaining balance, enabling swift movements, and delivering powerful punches. You'll learn how to position your feet shoulder-width apart, with your lead foot slightly forward and both heels off the ground to stay agile. Your knees should be slightly bent, and your weight evenly distributed to allow quick shifts in any direction. The guard position complements your stance by protecting vital areas and preparing you for both offense and defense. Keep your hands up near your cheeks, elbows tucked in to shield your body, and chin slightly down to minimize exposure. This posture not only defends against incoming strikes but also sets the stage for effective counterattacks. By the end of this lesson, you'll have a strong foundation to build upon as you progress through more advanced techniques in boxing.
